Microsoft is removing 5 games from the Xbox Game Pass catalog on Sunday, June 30, including a handful of well-received titles. The console manufacturer’s gaming subscription service is constantly refreshed on a consistent basis. Although many new games get added to the Xbox Game Pass library as part of that regular cadence, several titles are unfortunately pulled from the service as well. As such, Xbox players often need to keep an eye on the games scheduled to leave Microsoft’s subscription service in order to make sure they can try out the ones they want to play before they’re taken out of the Game Pass catalog.
Even though there haven’t been many major, new day-one releases this month, June has been fairly decent for Xbox’s gaming subscription service, all things considered. Over the last few weeks, Microsoft has added several titles to the Game Pass lineup, like the highly-rated RPGs Octopath Traveler 1 and 2, the Dead Space spiritual successor The Callisto Protocol, and the cozy farming sim My Time at Sandrock. The company did, however, take some notable games off the service on June 15, including High on Life, Bramble: The Mountain King, and Rune Factory 4 Special. Sadly, the Game Pass removals don’t end there, as more titles are set to leave the service later today.

Microsoft recently confirmed that 5 games will depart from the Xbox Game Pass catalog on June 30. These titles include FIFA 22, F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch, Stranded Deep, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and Sword and Fairy Together Forever. The sports game Cricket 22 is scheduled to leave Xbox’s subscription service as well, but it’ll be departing a few days later instead, on July 5. Fortunately, as with many other titles in Xbox Game Pass’s extensive library, members of the service can get up to a 20% discount when purchasing almost all the games listed here. The only exception in this case is FIFA 22, as that title has been delisted on digital storefronts.
