The trailer begins with Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn) arriving at a woodland crime scene. A colleague briefs her on their discovery: a young woman’s body found near a river, killed by blunt force trauma. This setting hints at a detective noir influence reminiscent of Mare of Easttown.

Unsettling Clues and Mysteries – Wanda Maximoff’s Signature and New Characters

As Agatha examines the crime scene, she notices a document with a list of dates, and a red signature mysteriously appears: W. Maximoff. This raises questions about Wanda’s involvement. Aubrey Plaza’s character then appears, adding to the intrigue by challenging Agatha’s identity and urging her to break free from a spell.

Agatha’s New Quest – Assembling a Coven and Seeking Power

Having escaped Wanda’s control, Agatha is seen trying to form her own coven, determined to walk the Witches’ Road and reclaim her powers. Patti LuPone’s character questions who would join Agatha’s coven, to which Agatha responds she isn’t seeking conventional witches.
